AGO, the Italian Trattoria named after its celebrated chef/partner Agostino Sciandri, sparkles brightly in the firmament of West Hollywood’s prestigious restaurants. Created in partnership with Robert De Niro, the popular chef looked to bring his own rendition of an upscale Italian Trattoria to Los Angeles back in 1997. Since then, AGO has successfully captured the passionate flavors that define Tuscany and has become a culinary favorite among Hollywood elite. Nice Quiet place...till all the other guests arrived. Saturday night crowd. Great service. Well prepared food. Good wine seletion. Very attentive staff.Definitely a place to return too!

The best thing to do here is to come with friends and have everyone order different entrees. The food is too delicious not to sample around! Atmosphere was warm. Only if the waiter wasn’t overly attentive and let us eat in peace , it would have been perfect.

Very nice place, it feels cozy due to low lighting at night. It can get crowded though.The food was amazing, went with my family so we shared a bunch of plates. I would recommend any seafood related dish.And yea, it is not very friendly to your wallet.

This restaurant owner is Robert De Niro. The manager was brilliant. Not a cheap restaurant as you can imagine. The food was impeccable and very good quality. The bar tender was superb give him a request and he can make the most amazing mix of cocktail with the taste you imagined. Unfortunately, I was too early for the celebs. Great place.

The best octopus I’ve ever eaten. So tender and goes through a 48 hour process. Seafood risotto was very good although Would Like a few more seafood pieces. The spaghetti and meatballs was anything but ordinary; a very light, low acid sauce. Perfectly cooked. Pepperoni pizza was good, as expected. Nothing crazy. Great ambiance and service. Chocolate gelato sundae was really tasty too.

Fantastic. Everything. The octopus is by far the best octopus I’ve had in my lifetime. Lamb ragu, unbelievable. Even the calamari is on another level.
